Gardening (to eat) at school
Amanda Wiggansand Tyler Moragne traverse the campus garden at Sacred Heart Preparatory High School with a wheelbarrow full of Jerusalem artichokes (or sunchokes) that will find their way to the school cafeteria. The school is the first in San Mateo County to win health department permission to prepare and eat campus-grown food. Photo by Michelle Le/The Almanac.
