Warren Slocum running for county supervisor
|
A familiar face in county political circles, Warren Slocum announced his intention to run for the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors with succinct style on March 5 -- he tweeted the news.
The former county clerk-recorder-assessor and chief elections officer was first elected to public office in 1986 and served until January 2011. Mr. Slocum brings the number of candidates for termed-out Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson's seat to eight. The district she represents includes Menlo Park, Redwood City, East Palo Alto and unincorporated North Fair Oaks and Oak Knoll.
