Portola Valley closing in on new manager
|
The Portola Valley Town Council plans to meet at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, in closed session to consider who to choose among the candidates the council has interviewed in its search for a new town manager.
Another closed session meeting on the same topic is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, March 28, at the end of the regularly scheduled meeting.
In June 2011, the current town manager, Angie Howard, announced plans to retire in April 2012 after 21 years in Town Hall, including 11 years leading the staff.
The town received 58 applicants "from all over the place" and chose five for interviews, all from California, Ms. Howard said.
The council met four times in March for the interviews, records show.
