| Madison, 6, and her sister Dillan, 2, pick out their cupcakes at the SusieCakes grand opening in downtown Menlo Park on March 24.
The 2,200-square-foot space at 624 Santa Cruz Ave. includes a large viewing window, which looks into the bakery's cake-finishing room.
Store hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Posted by Hmmm, a resident of another community, on Apr 7, 2012 at 2:50 pm Good delicacies. Overpriced even for Menlo, except the slices of cake. Incredibly good mini pies. Helpful, polite service but shockingly rude customers.

Posted by Donna Hall, a resident of the Menlo Park: University Heights neighborhood, on Apr 7, 2012 at 6:00 pm I have been to SusieCakes several times since they opened. I found their staff to be warm and helpful. The owner herself is extremely friendly and thrilled to be in this community. As for prices, I think for the quality and exceptional flavor of the baked goods that the prices are fair. SusieCakes uses the best ingredients available to make a cake (or other baked delicious morsel) that you'd be proud to serve to guests. I think we've found our new family baker... move over Gerry!
