In the 1930s, El Camino Real in Menlo Park looked much different than it does today, as the city considers adopting a new downtown plan. Photo courtesy of the Menlo Park Historical Association.

That photo is awsome. Do you have any others to share?

Yes great photo. I wish we knew the location at which it was taken.

Love this photo, and can recognize several current buildings. Was that a center passing lane?

I believe that is from Menlo Avenue looking North. The building

on the far right is the old City Hall, library, and the police

department in the rear facing lower Santa Cruz Avenue, The building

is now the BBC The stores on the right were torn down to make

way for Borrone's, and Kepler's, etc.

Great photo!!! Anyone remember when the current Kepler's was Jiffy Burgers? And I still miss McFarlane's Candies (the tanning salon and a few other little shops on the corner) and Edy's (Roger Reynolds' Carriage Shop).

Would love to have a pool and billiards hall around here like back then
