In the 1930s, El Camino Real in Menlo Park looked much different than it does today, as the city considers adopting a new downtown plan. Photo courtesy of the Menlo Park Historical Association.

Posted by Richard, a resident of the Menlo Park: Central Menlo Park neighborhood, on May 15, 2012 at 12:31 pm I believe that is from Menlo Avenue looking North. The building
on the far right is the old City Hall, library, and the police
department in the rear facing lower Santa Cruz Avenue, The building
is now the BBC The stores on the right were torn down to make
way for Borrone's, and Kepler's, etc.

And I still miss McFarlane's Candies (the tanning salon and a few other little shops on the corner) and Edy's (Roger Reynolds' Carriage Shop).
