Man found shot dead in East Palo Alto

An East Palo Alto man was found shot dead Sunday afternoon, several hours after shots were heard in the area, according to police.
Shots were first reported just after 1 p.m. on the 2300 block of Glen Way through the automated Shotspotter system, Detective Sgt. Jeff Liu said.
Officers arriving on the scene found evidence that someone had been shot with a firearm, but no victim.
Shortly after 4 p.m., police received a call reporting a man down in the same area. Officers arriving on the scene this time found 30-year-old Edmund Beverly in an area that had been previously checked by police, Liu said.
