Mark Lettieri, a Menlo-Atherton High School graduate and former Menlo Park resident, is touring Europe as the lead guitarist for Grammy-winning soul, R&B and jazz singer Erykah Badu.

Mr. Lettieri, who graduated from M-A in 2001, started playing guitar as a child. He participated in the M-A Jazz Band as a senior, under Frank Moura, before leaving California to attend Texas Christian University.

He has embarked on a three-week tour with Ms. Badu, singer-songwriter, producer, activist and actress. He will play with her across Europe, serving as the lead guitarist.

The tour began in Sofia, Bulgaria, and ends in Novi Sad, Serbia, on July 14, according to Badu's website. They will play the Montreux (Switzerland) Jazz Festival, and venues in London, Brussels, Vienne (France), Munich, Milan, Nice, Perugia and Istanbul.

Mr. Lettieri lives in Fort Worth, Texas, working as a "guitarist, songwriter and producer," according to his website.
