Stanford police catch escaped suspect

Prisoner Scott Foster was apprehended three hours after he escaped police custody on Stanford University campus early this morning, police said.
Police took Foster into custody without incident at 5:45 a.m. after a campus-wide search of Stanford University, police said.
At approximately 2:05 a.m., Scott Foster escaped the custody of Stanford police at 711 Serra St.
Stanford police had advised residents to lock their doors and windows as they searched for the escaped prisoner early this morning.
Foster was arrested in connection with domestic violence at 1:30 a.m. He was handcuffed and unarmed at the time he escaped custody, police said.
Police said Foster will now face additional charges, including resisting arrest and fleeing police officers.
