Motorcyclist airlifted from Skyline crash

A crash involving a motorcycle and a truck on state Highway 35 (Skyline Boulevard) just south of Highway 92 in San Mateo County blocked the roadway in both directions for about an hour this afternoon, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The motorcyclist suffered major head injuries in the crash, which occurred at about 2:15 p.m., and was airlifted to Stanford Hospital, CHP Officer James Evans said.

There were no other reported injuries.

The roadway was blocked in both directions until 3:15 p.m.

The crash is under investigation by the CHP.
