Edgewood Road detour this weekend

A detour will redirect traffic around a short stretch of Edgewood Road in Redwood City between Cordilleras and Cervantes roads from 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Over the four days, a road crew from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission will cut a trench across Edgewood Road and install a new five-foot-diameter drinking water pipeline as part of a $4.6 billion project to seismically upgrade the Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System.
