About 25 people from Occupy San Jose and Peninsula Direct Action showed up for the two-hour protest at 350 El Camino Real in Menlo Park. The office there is not affiliated with the Democratic Party but established by and for volunteers who support Democratic Party causes, office manager Mike Aydelott told the Almanac.

A spokesman for the Bradley Manning Support Network said similar protests had been planned for "dozens of cities across the U.S." on the last day of the Democratic National Convention.
