Man identified in fatal Highway 1 crash

A man killed Friday night in a multi-vehicle crash on state Highway 1 near Pescadero in San Mateo County has been identified as Peter Edward Keenan, according to the San Mateo County coroner's office.

The 43-year-old Alameda man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at Pescadero Creek Road, according to San Mateo County emergency and coroner's officials. The crash was reported at 11:25 p.m.

The highway was closed for nearly four hours, and reopened just after 3 a.m. Saturday, according to emergency officials.
