Eshoo endorses Warren Slocum for supervisor
|
Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, D-Menlo Park, has endorsed Warren Slocum in his bid for a seat on the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors in the November elections. Mr. Slocum is the former San Mateo County clerk, assessor-recorder and chief elections officer.
He is running against Shelly Masur, a board member of the Redwood City School District, for the seat of Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson, who for 14 years represented Menlo Park, Redwood City, East Palo Alto and the unincorporated communities of North Fair Oaks and Oak Knoll. Ms. Jacobs Gibson terms out in November.
"In his service for the people of San Mateo County, Warren has demonstrated leadership in technological innovation, fiscal responsibility and transparency in government," Ms. Eshoo said in a statement released by Mr. Slocum's campaign.— Dave Boyce Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition?
