Stanford series focuses on wealth and ethics
|
Are large wealth inequalities damaging to a democracy? What are the moral obligations of the wealthy to those in need?
Those are among the issues to be explored in a series of talks, discussions, films and performances at Stanford University this school year. Organized by the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society, the events are free and open to the public.
The series begins Tuesday, Oct. 2, with a discussion on "Wealth in the Gilded Age: How Much Is Enough?"
