In this undated photo, Sister Maria Christine drives a tractor on the grounds of the 11-acre cloistered monastery for Dominican Nuns of Corpus Christi in Menlo Park.
Nuns moved into the monastery beginning in April 1928, and continue to live the devotional life on the grounds of 212 Oak Grove Ave.

Posted by Honore, a resident of the Menlo Park: Allied Arts/Stanford Park neighborhood, on Oct 11, 2012 at 12:37 pm I love this picture of Sister Maria Christine driving the tractor! It is a charming reminder of a life very different from the high-tech, hurry-up-or-get-run-over lifestyle so prevalent in this area.
