The Oct. 16 party celebrated the landmark store's rebirth as a gathering spot for radical ideas, events and, of course, good books. Renovations focused on echoing the look and feel of the original store, which opened 57 years ago.
Author Michael Chabon will appear at the store on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. to discuss "Telegraph Avenue." Tickets start at $10. Kepler's Books, 1010 El Camino Real.
