Author Tatjana Soli, in conversation with her longtime friend, Palo Alto author Meg Waite Clayton, will discuss and sign her new novel, "The Forgetting Tree," at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Kepler's, 1010 El Camino Real in Menlo Park.

"The Forgetting Tree" is a novel about a California ranching family, its complicated matriarch, and the enigmatic caretaker who may destroy them.
