Sandbags at the ready in Menlo Park
First in series of storms arrives

Bookmark and Share
You may have noticed it's a bit wet outside this morning. The weather forecast suggests it's going to get even wetter for the next four days, through Sunday, leading the City of Menlo Park to make sand and sandbags available for residents.

Go to Burgess Drive and Alma Street, or Pope Street and Laurel Avenue to stock up. You will need to bring a shovel.

Call city maintenance at 330-6780 for more information. If you experience power outages, call Pacific Gas & Electric at 1-800-743-5002. Go to the utility's website to review storm safety tips.

forget sand bags at that corner. ravenwood and middlefield in menlo park flood so much that corner needs a flood control channels like they have over in England. Here we live in the 21st century and Menlo Park floods likes its in the 1800's or something. Lived here over 40 years and its always been the same flood problems at that corner. high time they went and fixed it.
