Update: Middlefield Road reopens in Menlo Park
Storm shut street between Ringwood and Oak Grove

Middlefield Road between Ringwood and Oak Grove has reopened after closing earlier due to flooding, Menlo Park police announced at 11:32 a.m.

Forecasts predict rain through Sunday. The City of Menlo Park has sand and sandbags available for residents.

Go to Burgess Drive and Alma Street, or Pope Street and Laurel Avenue to stock up. You will need to bring a shovel.

Call city maintenance at 330-6780 for more information. If you experience power outages, call Pacific Gas & Electric at 1-800-743-5002. Go to the utility's website to review storm safety tips.
