Slocum to hold office hours in North Fair Oaks

Bookmark and Share
Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 13, newly elected San Mateo County Supervisor Warren Slocum will hold weekly evening office hours in the unincorporated county area of North Fair Oaks.

Residents are encouraged to drop in and introduce themselves to the new supervisor, whose 4th District is home to nearly 19,000 residents, including those who live in the North Fair Oaks community, which is bounded by the cities of Redwood City, Atherton and Menlo Park.

Community hours will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Fair Oaks Community Center at 2600 Middlefield Road in Redwood City.

Mr. Slocum said he decided to hold office hours during the evening, citing that many residents are unable to find the time during the day to see him. "I know that many working people simply can't get downtown to the County Government Center before 5 p.m. to meet with me, share their concerns or ask for assistance," he said. "I want to be accessible and available. The best way that I know how to solve that problem is to locate myself in the community, after hours, and make myself available."
