The Menlo Park-based Pars Equality Center will host its third annual Nowruz Gala in honor of the Persian New Year on Saturday, March 9, at the Santa Clara Marriott.

More than 600 guests are expected for the evening of music and dancing, which will include a live performance by Iranian singer Andy Madadian.

The ball will benefit the nonprofit Pars Equality Center, founded in 2010 to provide social and legal support for the Iranian American community. Founder and executive director is Bita Daryabari of Atherton.

Pars Equality opened a second office in San Jose last year and will open a third office in Westwood in Los Angeles on April 1.
