March 13-23: 'Oklahoma!' plays in Portola Valley

The Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory (PVTC) will present the well-loved Rodgers and Hammerstein musical "Oklahoma!' March 13-17 and March 21-23 at PVTC's Lane Family Hall Theatre, 945 Portola Road in Portola Valley.

The first collaboration between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, "Oklahoma!" opened on Broadway in 1943 and ran for more than 2,000 performances. It was adapted for the screen in 1955.

The 50-member cast includes many local youths and adults. Principal roles include Matt Waters as Curly; Elizabeth Lawrence as Laurey; Betsy Burdick as Aunt Eller; Noelle Goodman-Morris Gibbs as Ado Annie; Torrey Rothstein as Will; Mark Goodman-Morris as Andrew Carnes; Don Gustafson as Jud, and Joe Khirallah as Ali Hakim.

The show is directed by Cheryl Goodman-Morris and choreographed by Noelle Goodman-Morris Gibbs. Musical director is Raf Ornes

Tickets range from $15 to $50 and may be purchased by calling 851-8282, ext. 105.
