Time 'springs' forward on Sunday

Bookmark and Share
Daylight saving time starts at 2 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, which means the time "springs" forward an hour.

While resetting clocks and watches (and "losing" an hour), people are urged by public safety officials to use the occasion to prepare for an emergency. This includes changing batteries in smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors, and checking on emergency supplies.

Officials recommend that residents keep on hand a three-day supply of bottled water, non-perishable food and medication. And don't forget supplies for pets.

Daylight saving time starts on the second Sunday of March and ends on the first Sunday of November. This year, that's Nov. 3.

Great post, Hank!

And you did it completely without predicting a Romney victory in November, against the Socialist-in-Chief!

...... (too soon?)

Seriously, welcome back. Hope all is well with you and yours...
