Restaurateur and organic food pioneer Jesse Ziff Cool received the Trailblazer Award at the 24th annual Leaders & Legends luncheon held recently at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco. The event is sponsored by the San Francisco chapter of the National Association of Woman Business Owners.

The Trailblazer Award is given annually to a business owner who has been in business for 10 or more years and serves as a role model for others.

The founder of Cooleatz Inc., Ms. Cool owns and operates three restaurants (two of which are located in Menlo Park) and a catering company. She has also published seven books, all of which focus on healthful eating and sustainable agriculture.
