Highway 84 reopened after fatal crash

All lanes of state Highway 84 in unincorporated San Mateo County east of San Gregorio reopened this morning after a fatal multi-vehicle crash Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday between two vehicles on Highway 84 near Madera Lane, CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said.
One victim died in the crash, according to Officer Caggiano. Two others were transported to a local hospital, one with moderate injuries and the other with complaint of pain, he said.
Highway 84 was blocked in both directions because of the crash, he said.
A Sig-alert was issued at 10 p.m. Sunday and was canceled at about 12:50 a.m. today.
