Woodside vaulters take first, second spots
|
Members of the Woodside Vaulters equestrian vaulting club took home first place in the one-star team event, and second place at the two-star team event, at the Kentucky Vaulting Cup competition, held July 28-Aug. 2, in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Kentucky Vaulting Cup is one of several Concours de Voltige International events held worldwide each year. It is recognized by the Federation Equestre Internationale, which is the international governing body of horse sports.
A group of seven girls representing the Woodside Vaulters equestrian vaulting club won the one-star team event. The members of the one-star team are Tessa Divita, 11, Sarah Dunn, 12, Christine Herrmann, 15, Grace Koz, 15, Siddartha Kreaden, 11, Katrina Nibbi, 15, and Julia Plungy, 15. The one-star level is the intermediate level of international vaulting competition.
Members of the Woodside team that took second place at the two-star elite level are Gabe Aniello, 18, Alyssa Bonora, 15, Janie Salisbury, 10, Patrick Stevens, 17, Katherine Wick, 16, Yvonne Greenen, 14, and Kathryn Jaggers, 15.
