The Woodside Town Council will consider authorizing the installation of no-parking signs on Woodside Road, with an exemption for student drop-off and pick-up, when it meets on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

Under the plan being considered, the parking ban would apply to both sides of the road near Woodside Elementary School, as well as to Albion Avenue, but parking would be allowed on the south side of the street twice a day for vehicles dropping off or picking up students.

Special-event parking would be another exception to the rules.

Council members in July asked community members who came to them to complain about the parking restrictions to come to this meeting with alternatives to the proposed plan.

The council meets at 7:30 p.m. in Independence Hall, at the corner of Woodside and Whiskey Hill roads.

Also on the agenda is a resolution to classify as open space a town-owned 1.7-acre parcel next to Barkley Fields & Park on Woodhill Drive.
