Veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas and Rep. Barbara Lee, chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, will participate in a book-signing event at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at Kepler's bookstore, 1010 El Camino Real in Menlo Park.

Helen Thomas is the author of "Listen Up, Mr. President: Everything You Always Wanted Your President to Know and Do." She has covered the administrations of 10 presidents in a career spanning nearly 60 years.

Rep. Lee is the author of "Renegade for Peace and Justice."
