Menlo College wins third straight football game Saturday at home

 | Cruz Castillo threw for 264 yards and four touchdowns as the Menlo College football team downed visiting Lewis & Clark, 26-14, in a Northwest Conference contest Saturday.
Kenny Cavness caught five passes for 127 yards and two touchdowns as the Oaks (3-1, 4-4) won their third straight for the first time in six years.
Menlo travels to Pacific Lutheran for a Northwest Conference contest next Saturday afternoon.
Oaks' sophomore strong safety Beau Bussani recorded 13 tackles, nine solo, and intercepted a pair of passes.
Menlo scored on its first possession of the second half to take the lead for good. Castillo and Erik Rasmussen connected on a 23-yard scoring play to give the Oaks a 12-7 advantage.
Cavness and Castillo hooked up on a 19-yard touchdown play, and ensuing two-point conversion, early in the fourth quarter for a 20-7 lead.
A short scoring toss from Castillo to Andrew Stevens completed Menlo's scoring.
Cavness caught a 38-yard touchdown pass that put Menlo ahead, 6-0, late in the second quarter, but the Pioneers responded with a score and took a 7-6 lead into halftime.
Payton Bell carried the ball 16 times for 71 yards and Marcus Alvin also intercepted a pass for the Oaks.
