Flu vaccine shortages

 | The vaccine for H1N1 flu is in short supply, but even seasonal flu vaccine has been running out in San Mateo County.
In this picture, staff at a Kaiser Permanente flu clinic in Redwood City explain to a member on Thursday, Oct. 29, that supplies of both types of flu shots had run out.
Only nasal mist vaccinations that are limited to healthy people between the ages of 2 and 49 remained.
San Mateo County health officials cancelled seasonal flu vaccine clinics due to supply problems, and last week reported that the county received only a fraction of the 90,000 doses of swine flu vaccine they'd requested.
Spokeswoman Robin Thaw said health officials don't know when the county might receive more vaccines.
