Today: Native sons in Yukon gold rush

Share
Chris Goode of Menlo Park will discuss his book, "Sourdoughs at Seventy Miles: California Native Sons in the Yukon Gold," at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Menlo Park Library, 800 Alma St. in Menlo Park.

Mr. Goode's book blends San Mateo County pioneer history with the experiences of the sons of the pioneers who traveled to Alaska in search of gold in 1898. There will be a 30-minute DVD, which includes excerpts from the book. The program is supported by the Friends of the Menlo Park Library.

Free van service is available for Menlo Park seniors and people with disabilities. For more information, call 330-2512.
