Gun battle erupts in East Palo Alto
Shootout wounds two persons, one critically

Twenty-five to 30 shots were fired in a gun battle in East Palo Alto Thursday evening, injuring two men, according to an East Palo Alto detective.
The gunfire erupted at approximately 6 p.m. from at least two guns. The shooting occurred on the 2100 block of Lincoln Street between East Bayshore Road and Bell Street.
One person was critically injured and was in surgery; another man was in stable condition, according to Detective Angel Sanchez.
The two men are Edmund Beverly of East Palo Alto and Duron Jones of Sunnyvale, both in their 20s, Sanchez said.
Police cordoned off Lincoln Street and were still conducting an investigation at 8:30 p.m.
