Mountain lion spotted in Portola Valley

A mountain lion was spotted this morning (March 25) in Portola Valley area, according to the office of emergency services.
The animal was seen in the vicinity of 1 Morro Vista Lane at about 7:15 a.m.
Residents are advised not to approach mountain lions, and to try to appear large and make noise if one is nearby. The cats are most active at dawn, dusk and at night.
