Report: Mountain lion spotted in park
|
A mountain lion was reportedly spotted in Wunderlich County Park in Woodside on Monday afternoon, San Mateo County officials said.
The cat was seen at about 1:15 p.m., according to the county office of emergency services.
Mountain lions typically do not approach humans. However, residents are advised to stay safe by keeping small children close and avoiding hiking or jogging at dawn, dusk or at night when the cats are most active.
For more information on mountain lions, visit the state's Department of Fish and Game's website.
