Mountain lion sighted in Woodside
|
A mountain lion was seen in the vicinity of Farm Road and Woodview Lane in Woodside at approximately 3:30 a.m. Monday, March 21, the San Mateo County Office of Emergency Services reported.
The county Office of Emergency Services offers these tips:
● If you see a mountain lion, don't approach it and call 911,
● Avoid hiking or jogging when mountain lions are most active -- dawn, dusk, and at night.
● Keep a close watch on small children.
● If you encounter a mountain lion, do not run. Instead, face the animal, make noise and try to look bigger by waving your arms; throw rocks or other objects. Pick up small children.
