Woman injured in Sand Hill Road bike accident

| A 54-year-old woman bicyclist fell and struck her head Sunday while riding with friends eastbound on Sand Hill Road, west of Branner Drive, Menlo Park police report. The woman, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Stanford Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The accident happened on the south side of Sand Hill at about 1:05 p.m., police said.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated. Police asks that anyone with information call Officer Rolando Igno at 330-6300.
