Little League 11-12 tourney: M-A wins, 3-1

Menlo-Atherton remained alive in the District 52 Majors 11-12 Little League All-Star Tournament with a 3-1 victory over San Mateo American on Wednesday, July 6, at Middlefield Ballpark in Palo Alto.

M-A will face Palo Alto National on Friday (7:30 p.m.) in an elimination game in the consolation bracket.

Clay Prosser got the victory while nearly tossing a complete game. Blake Henry drove in M-A's first run while the second (and winning) run came home on a passed ball.

The game is actually at 5pm against Alpine / West Menlo Little League.
