Lee Keene, 90, a resident of Palo Alto, died Jan. 22, 2013, at Stanford Hospital after a short illness.
Born in Hollister, Calif., March 18, 1922, he graduated from Stanford and through the Navy attended and taught at Harvard and MIT. He was known for his ingenuity, problem solving and all around brilliant career in engineering. He was an avid fisherman, and very proud of the homes he built for his family in Palos Verdes and Carmel.
Lee loved his family and is survived by his adored wife of 70 years, Janet; their three children, Richard of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Pamalee of Mountain View, Calif., and Charles of Albany, Calif.; their spouses and six grandchildren.
