Pierino "Paul" Robbiano of Menlo Park, Calif., passed away on Jan. 6, 2013, peacefully taking his last breath as his family surrounded him with prayer. Born in Palo Alto on Oct. 19, 1921, Paul was an active ham radio operator, "W6PKM," since the age of 16 and recipient of an Electronics Engineering Degree from Stanford University in 1943. A retired employee of Varian Associates in Palo Alto following 33 years of service, Paul contributed much of his free time serving in the local St. Vincent de Paul group.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 65 years, Mary Ann; three children, Kathleen, Paul and Angela; two grandchildren, Vincent and Joseph; and great grandchild, Henry. He will be greatly missed.
Friends are invited to attend a Vigil Service, Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at 7 p.m. in St. Raymond's Catholic Church, 1100 Santa Cruz Ave., Menlo Park, and the Funeral Mass which will be offered at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in the church followed by committal in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Menlo Park.
Remembrances in Paul's memory to Oakwood Religious of the Sacred Heart, Atherton, CA, St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. Raymond's Catholic Church in Menlo Park will be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Roller & Hapgood & Tinney of Palo Alto.
