'Nature's Inspirations' features local artists

Works celebrating open space by six local artists will be on display at "Nature's Inspirations," a fundraiser sponsored by the Committee for Green Foothills on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., at Willow Heights Mansion, in Morgan Hill.

Cupertino painter Floy Zittin will receive the Jane Gallagher Award, named for the late Portola Valley artist who both painted and worked to preserve open space on the Peninsula.

Portola Valley photographers David Cardinal and Dan Quinn will show their work, along with painters Mimi Kearns of Saratoga, Lin Ching Peng of Palo Alto, and Sheila Sondik of Berkeley. They were selected by a jury from 23 applications.
