Diane Eskenazi of Peace Builders, the Woodside-based nonprofit, gathered $1.5 million in corporate and private donations to aid relief efforts in Haiti following the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck the country on Jan. 12.

Volunteers, including about 100 Woodside Elementary School students, gathered in the school's parking lot to help pack up the donations, which included new Gymboree clothing, tents, bedding and medical supplies.
