Menlo Park Briefs

Recycling service

Recology of San Mateo County has launched an outreach for its new recycling service for Menlo Park businesses. Interested companies can combine plastic, paper, glass, and other recyclables into a single bin donated by Recology, which is replacing Allied Wastes as a service provider. For more information, call 650-595-3900.

Compost giveaway

Menlo Park residents can stock up on free compost on the first Saturday of the month, from August through October. Show up with a shovel, buckets and i.d. at Bayfront Park between 9 a.m. to sunset on Aug. 7, Sept. 4, and Oct. 2. The heap of compost is near the park entrance at the intersection of Bayfront Expressway and Marsh Road.
