Guillaume Bienaime, executive chef of Marche restaurant in Menlo Park, has organized the gala to raise money for the "Save Our Gulf" fund. Mr. Bienaime founded Bay for the Gulf after many talks with local fisherman Pietro Paravanno about the serious effects of the oil spill on the future of the Gulf of Mexico and the people who live and work along its shores. Mr. Pavaranno is one of the stalwarts of the Menlo Park Farmers' Market.
Proceeds from the event will be distributed to the Save Our Gulf fund, an initiative of Waterkeeper Alliance to support the seven Gulf Coast Waterkeepers directly impacted by the oil disaster.
Tickets to the gala are $150 per person.
