'Millennial' advisory board for InnVision

Twelve people drawn from social media companies, venture capital firms and law firms, among other sectors, have been chosen to serve on a new advisory board for InnVision Shelter Network, the Menlo Park-based nonprofit.

Board members include Julia Duncan of Google, Ryan McDougall of Zynga, and Oakland Raiders running back Jeremy Stewart. This "NextGen Advisory Board" will focus on increasing young Silicon Valley professionals' awareness of homelessness, and look for creative approaches to providing services.

"It's important to recognize and foster the commitment of the millennial generation to homelessness and nonprofit leadership," said InnVision Shelter Network CEO Karae Lisle said. "There are new and innovative ideas about how to tackle poverty."

InnVision, headquartered at 181 Constitution Drive in Menlo Park, helps the homeless find shelter and supportive services.
