The driver, who was making a left turn from Cambridge onto El Camino Real, is being charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, she added.
The pedestrian was struck on his left elbow by the "side bumper" of a 1991 gray Chevrolet Caprice while crossing from the east side of El Camino Real to the west side, Ms. Acker said.
The car did not run over the pedestrian and the driver claims he didn't see him, she said.
