Children must be 5 years old by Nov. 1, and live within the district, to be eligible for kindergarten.
A transitional kindergarten class is being created for children who will turn 5 between Nov. 2 and Dec. 1. The program is the result of a new state law that raises the age for kindergarten eligibility. Children who attend transitional kindergarten in the 2012-13 school year may enroll in kindergarten the following school year.
