The musical, billed as "a fairytale gone Goth," is set in a "cursed kingdom with a feisty princess, who insists on being called Fred." It's directed by drama teacher Debra Zwicker-Sobrepena.
Kent Kurrus directs members of the M-A orchestra, and Patrick Maier is choir director. Aliya Hasoon is student director, Libby Farel, stage manager.
Junior Hannah Berggren plays the heroine, Winifred Woebegone. Senior Chris Chao plays her love interest, Prince Dauntless. Junior Lissette Espinoza is Queen Aggravain, and senior Zach Abt is the silent King.
