The tour covers five Woodside private stables: a contemporary barn, a Spanish-style barn, and barns with wood and stone work and native plant landscaping.
Lunch will be served in the English gardens of a local stable, where two artists, a dealer in equine-related antiques, and Custom Covers will present their wares.
Demonstrations, featuring hound puppies, jumping horses, carriage driving and wild mustangs, will be given at various locations.
The stable tour is sponsored by the Los Altos Hounds, a riding club organized in 1953 in Los Altos Hills and continuing today in the Woodside-Portola Valley area and surrounding counties. The riders follow a pack of foxhounds in a simulated hunt over hills and fences.
Tour tickets are $25 and may be picked up the day of the tour in front of Independence Hall at Woodside Town Center, 2955 Woodside Road.
Lunch is $25, with advance reservations required. Call Carol Arnold at 851-2551 for reservations.
