Capturing Images of Menlo Park

Original post made by Therese on Jan 3, 2008

I have been approached by Arcadia Press to publish a book on Menlo Park for their Images of America series, which is essentially pictorial history of the community. There have been several out-standing history books published regarding Menlo Park including the most recent, "Menlo Park Beyond the Gate" by Michael Svanevik and Shirley Burgett. I am interested in utilizing photos that have not been published and illustrate early life in Menlo Park such as street scenes, major gathering events (parades, festivals, Grand Openings, etc) and day-to-day activities, ideally taken before 1960. I would appreciate receiving an email from anyone who has pictures to loan that they would like to have considered for inclusion in the book or as the featured front cover. My email address is tmsofmenlopark@yahoo.com Thank you. Therese
