Kelly Fergusson and SB 375 (The Steinberg Bill)

Original post made by Neighbor on Sep 25, 2008

I would like to know whether or not Kelly Fergusson (as well as the other council members) support SB 375. I would like to know how much local planning control and EIR control they intend to give up under the guise of 'green.'

Perhaps the council should have a study session and position vote on this.

SB 375 (Steinberg) is a menace. They are stepping in from the State level and want to make land use decisions for us. A developers dream bill. REal teeth may be in this bill, because they are possibly going to take away transportation funds if we don't do what they (Sacramento) wast.

We need this law reversed.
